Welcome to the Rubble Creek Classic! The Classic goes way back to 1983, when sea to sky locals would gather on the last Sunday of September to run this beautiful route and celebrate the end of summer.
The route is spectacular! (Check out our recap video here). It crosses through one of the most scenic and well-visited parks in BC, Garibaldi Park. The stunning route begins by taking runners up the many switchbacks on the Cheakmaus Lake trail. Following this, runners will go through the idyllic, flower-filled meadows of Taylor Creek, past the once volcanic Black Tusk and down to the glistening shores of Garibaldi Lake.
With its spectacular views and rich history, it's one not to be missed! The race sold out on the same day in 2023, spots are limited to 100 racers.

SIGN IN
Friday 13th / Saturday 14th: 10:00am - 6:00pm at the Escape Route, Whistler
BIBS CANNOT BE PICKED UP BY ANYONE BUT THE REGISTERED RUNNER. WHISTLER/RACE DAY COLLECTION ONLY.
Sunday: 6:30am at the start line
DROP OFF / COLLECTION
There will be NO PARKING available at the start line at the Cheakamus car park. Participants must be dropped off and then collected at Rubble Creek. There will be parking available at the Rubble Creek Car park, but it's not unlimited. Please try to car share as much as possible.
AID STATIONS
There will be no aid stations during this event, it is 100% self-supported. There will be a sweep who clears the route and a first aid located on course (location to TBD).

FAQ's
Will there be a waitlist?
Yes, please email oli@escaperoute.ca to be added.
What is the refund / drop-out policy?
There is a no-refund policy but we can transfer your entry to a waitlisted runner until September 1st. Please email oli@escaperoute.ca and let me know. After September 1st it's your responsibility to find someone to transfer too. If you transfer after September 1st please still email oli@escaperoute.ca so I can change the name for tracking.
Are poles allowed?
Yes, poles are allowed.
Can we leave bags at the start line?
No, there will be no transferring of bags from the start to the finish line
Can I park at the finish line?
Yes, there is parking available at Rubble Creek but it is limited. Please try to car share.
Can I leave my car at the start line?
No, BC Parks has made it clear there is no parking at the Cheakamus lake car park.
Do I need a day pass?
No, you do not need a day pass as a runner.
What about if it snows or there is bad weather?
We will make a call closer to the time if the weather isn't cooperating.
Should I attend the afterparty?
Yes, you absolutely should. We had food, some free drinks, a DJ and dancing!
