About the Ski
You might wonder how the Black Diamond Impulse touring ski stays beefy without costing you too much heartache on the uphill. Well, Black Diamond use pre-preg Fibreglass - this pre-preg technology is usually used to improve Carbon in touring skis to create a smoother more consistent flex and reduce weight. However, Black Diamond uses this technology in their Fibreglass, this method brings the weight of the firbreglass down - which means you get a beefy ski with less weigtht - how awesome! Black Diamond also use poplar as their wood of choice which is the #1 choice when downhill performance is in the priority.
