The size of your backback is important for your safety and comfort. That's why we have developed the ORTOVOX backpacks in different sizes for different back lengths.
HOW TO FIND YOUR BACKPACK SIZE BASED ON YOUR BACK LENGTH
To determine the back length, use a measuring tape to measure yourself from the top of the hip bone up to the 7th cervical vertebra (it clearly protrudes).
The REGULAR BACK SYSTEM may be used for a back length from 42 cm to 50 cm.*
The SHORT BACK SYSTEM may be used for a back length from 36 cm to 44 cm.* You can recognise the Short back system by the additional "S" in the product name.

With its larger capacity, the HAUTE ROUTE 38 S has space for all you may need. The spacious main compartment is accessible from the top and back, which means all backpack contents will be easily accessible, while a separate safety compartment provides rapid access to emergency equipment. Thanks to the rope attachment on the lid, you can pack and unpack your rope without having to open the backpack.
The HAUTE ROUTE 38 S has a specially designed shortened back system for smaller people.
